
Alexander A. Stone is a British-born film & television actor, writer, and director.
In his early years, he trained with the Centrestage Drama Group and the MADCAP Theatre Company while also studying performing arts at The Stantonbury College Theatre. In the mid-90s, he produced, directed, wrote & starred in a short film adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel, ‘American Psycho’. His stage credits also include ‘Ophelia’, a reworking of Hamlet - produced by the BBC.
Moving to California in 1997, Alexander studied method acting at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. His U.S. stage credits include the role of Sebastian in Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’ at the AVC Black Box theatre and his highly-revered and moving portrayal of the apostle Peter in ‘The Passion’ at The Highlands. He further sharpened his acting instrument by studying The Lyndon Technique with esteemed booking coach Amy Lyndon.
In 2019 he wrote and played the lead in ‘The Goodbye Shot’, a faith-based dramatic short film focusing on veterans that have lost fellow soldiers in combat. That same year, Alexander won an Emmy as the voice actor for; ‘Drive Baked, Get Booked’, a PSA for the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.
His film and television work include; ‘An American Psycho’ (1996), ‘The Shield’, ‘24’, ‘Drive Baked, Get Booked’ (PSA), ‘Veep’, ‘Goliath’, ‘The Goodbye Shot’, ‘Winning Time’ and ‘The Dropout’.
Alexander A. Stone holds a Diploma of Vocational Education in drama and a BTEC qualification (AA) in performing arts. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
